Luxury 5* Hotel & Apartments in the heart of Vilamoura
 Opened in October 2005 and surrounded by six world class golf courses, The Lake Resort benefits from an excellent location in the centre of Vilamoura, close to the Marina and Casino and only 20 minutes from Faro Airport.
This luxury resort has a hotel with 192 rooms, including 9 suites and 95 luxury apartments (1 bedroom, 2 bedroom or 2 bedroom duplex), which enjoy panoramic views of the famous Vilamoura Marina, Falesia Beach or the private lake. The sports and leisure facilities include extensive gardens, 3  restaurants, 3 bars, a spa and fitness centre with indoor treatment pool, mini club, library, private parking and 3 outdoor pools, the largest of which is the first in Europe to have a sand base with a natural sandy beach. One of the other outdoor pools is heated. Surrounding all the pools there are sun terraces with trees and shrubs to provide shade and privacy. The beach is reached by walking through the gardens and along the private gated path or try kayaking on the saltwater lake.
 All hotel rooms have private balconies, with views over the Marina, Falesia Beach or the private lake. The rooms reflect the same philosophy as the hotel, simplicity combined with luxury.
The apartments are fully furnished and equipped with kitchenette, laundry room, storage space security and 2 allocated parking spaces. They include television with a choice of channels from an internal network, cable and satellite as well as telephone and safe. The two bedroom  duplex apartments also boast a roof terrace with Jacuzzi. Clients staying in the apartments have all the services of the hotel at their disposal as well as the sports and leisure facilities.
The hotel main lobby is covered by a spectacular 14 metre Moorish dome, with a circular entrance, stone floor and giant columns. Near the Lobby, the Gallery has a stunning series of arches, which have the appearance of a Roman aqueduct; this gives a very special peaceful and spacious atmosphere.
 Zanzibar is the colourful lobby bar which extends onto a terrace with extensive views of the lake and beautiful gardens. The Voyager Bar is next to the gardens and The Blue Lagoon Pool Bar is surrounded by water.
The Lusfadas library is decorated discreetly with comfortable armchairs and has current magazines and a good selection of books as well as an Internet connection for the use of guests. The Boutique de Terra has a selection of souvenirs and gifts.
 Jaipur has an Indian theme: with discreet lighting and a special atmosphere, here the focus is on tea, its history and how it was introduced to Europe by the Portuguese. With a wide selection of teas from all over the world, this is a special place to relax.
Fusion is an atmospheric Oriental restaurant with private rooms which are ideal for small groups and for those who  enjoy eating out of doors, there is the restaurant terrace.
The Mediterranean Restaurant Gustatio, decorated in the colours of the Mediterranean and serving the flavours and dishes of seven of the  Mediterranean countries, is also the breakfast room. A Casta is a private tasting room, where guests can sample excellent selections of Portuguese wines and dishes.
On the lake, set in the gardens, is the floating restaurant Marenostrum which is inspired by the sea and fishermen. Here your choice is grilled meat and fish, salads and snacks served  in an enjoyable and relaxed atmosphere.
The Koala Club is a bright, spacious area dedicated to children's play - a team of monitors is on hand to make sure they are well looked after.
 At The Blue&Green Spa is inspired by “Five Continents, Five Senses”. Visit the Green Spa to enjoy therapies and treatments  from all over the world such as Japanese Shiatsu, Javanese massage or Ayurvedic massage from India. At The Blue Spa, enjoy the wonderful jet pool and other baths. The spa also has a beauty salon, sauna, Jacuzzi, treatment pool and gymnasium.
