 Completed in 2005, Apartment Marina Sol is within the Dom Manuel apartment building which is superbly situated on Lagos Marina, only a ten minute walk to Meia Praia beach. The restaurants and bars on the Marina quay side are a five minute stroll away and a further five minutes will take you across the opening bridge into Lagos town centre where there are many more shops, bars and restaurants to choose from. The golf courses at Palmares and Boavista Golf Resort are within five to ten minutes drive and the courses at Penina to the east and Parque da Floresta Golf and Leisure Resort to the west are about 25 minutes drive away.
 The apartments are built around a central garden area where there is a large swimming pool, a pool for children and extensive sun terracing with loungers. There is also a playground for children in the near vicinity. Lifts are fitted in the apartments and 24 hour security is provided.
Apartment Marina Sol is well furnished and has a terrace, which overlooks the pool area. The terrace has patio furniture for outside dining. The kitchen is fully fitted and includes a full electric cooker, fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, kettle, toaster, iron and board. The living dining room is comfortably furnished with a three piece suite and satellite TV (limited channels - Sky News, BBC News and Eurosport). Patio doors lead from this room onto the balcony. 
 One bedroom has a double bed and en suite bathroom with bath and shower over and the second bedroom has twin beds and the use of a separate shower room. Marina Sol has air conditioning throughout and provision of heating also makes it a suitable choice for a winter stay.
 A health club is available at the Marina Club Suite Hotel just a short walk away, payable locally.
The cosmopolitan town of Lagos, which many believe to be the best on the Algarve, is on your doorstep. The Marina dominates the river as it opens into the sea and you can choose activities such as deep sea fishing, a dolphin seafari trip and yacht hire. Lagos is an historic town with some city walls still standing after the earthquake of 1755 and there are several museums and churches worth a visit. This is a working Portuguese town with markets, shops and plenty of restaurants and cafes to choose from. The fabulous west coast beaches, where the surfing is renowned, are only 30 minutes drive away and the Monchique hills and the historic old capital of the Algarve, Silves, is an equal distance the other way. As Apartment Marina Sol is so centrally situated, a car is not essential for your holiday enjoyment but to gain an appreciation of just what the Western Algarve can offer, a car is recommended.
