Rio Arade is a lovingly restored 18th century manor house set in a quaint old fishing village. A beautiful buffet breakfast is served in the Grand Salon which also has a bar area for a refreshing drink at the other end of the day. The guest house also has a private pool and BBQ area with plenty of seating for al fresco dining. There are several relaxing areas throughout the property and around the pool area.
Local to Rio Arade and within 5 minutes walk is a luxury leisure club available for 10 euros a day. Also very popular is a boat service from the Marina at Club Nautico which ferries guest to Portimao and Praia da Rocha. There are several local restaurants to choose from and John, the owner of Rio Arade, will be pleased to advise which one to go to depending on your tastes.
Within 20 minutes drive, there are 11 golf courses to choose from, the beautiful Monchique mountains are close by and the beach is about 10 minutes drive away. Ferragudo, Portimao and Alvor are all close by and with Carvoeiro to the east and Lagos to the west, both within a 20 to 30 minute drive, Rio Arade is ideal as a base for visiting many different places in the Algarve.
The whole of the Rio Arade Manor House can be booked, making it very suitable for large parties up to 18 in number.
