Pestana Alvor Park Suite Hotel * * * *

The Alvor Park Suite Hotel was completed in early summer 2005 and is located just behind the Dom Joao Resort and the Alvor Praia Hotel, about 5 minutes walk from Tres Irmaos Beach. There are 55 apartments, which all look towards the sea, comprising a mixture of suites and one bedroom apartments. The suites have a small kitchenette, a double bed and a separate bathroom. There is an additional separate bedroom in the one bedroom apartments and should clients need a two bedroom apartment then an adjoining door is opened between a suite and a one bedroom apartment giving an additional bathroom and kitchenette. A cooker (may be hob & oven), microwave, dishwasher and all basic kitchen equipment is provided in the kitchenettes. All apartments have air conditioning, satellite TV which includes some English channels, telephone, safe for which a small local charge may be made, radio and mini bar.

The facilities at the Aparthotel are extensive.  There is a bar and a restaurant snack bar together with an outdoor swimming pool and a pool for children.  Associated with the Wellness Centre is an indoor swimming pool, sauna, Jacuzzi, Turkish bath and gymnasium.  There is also a TV room, a cyber corner and a souvenir shop.  A playground for children can be found outside in the gardens.  Other sporting facilities such as tennis are available at the nearby Pestana Dom Joao Resort and at the Alvor Praia Hotel. During the summer months of June to September, nautical sports can be enjoyed at the centre on the beach and for golfers, a driving range and putting green is available at the Delphim Hotel and a drive of around 15 km from the hotel will bring you to Pestana Carvoeiro Golf with the spectacular Gramacho and Pinta courses and the David Leadbetter academy.  Both golf courses are available to play on the special “Unlimited Golf” programme.

The Alvor Park is an ideal venue for those seeking a more independent type of holiday, close to the beach and with plenty of facilities close by but enabling you to please yourselves as to when and what you do.
