 The Delfim Hotel overlooks the magnificent Tres Irmaos Beach and is about 2km from the centre of the charming village of Alvor. This is a 4* hotel of 15 floors with 312 rooms and 13 suites. The Hotel was renovated during the winter of 1999/2000. All rooms have room controlled air conditioning and heating, en suite bathroom with bath and shower over, telephone, satellite TV with some English speaking and music channels and hairdryer. Facilities, for which an extra local charge is made, include a safe, pay TV and a new internal video system which allows clients to play video games. There are balconies in 80% of the rooms: only those rooms with a land view do not have balconies. Cots for babies are complimentary and mini bars are provided in the suites. There are 4 lifts and room service is provided.
 The large sea water swimming pool has a novel central bar, reached by footbridge or by swimming up to it. The sunbathing area surrounds the pool and there are plenty of sun beds and umbrellas. There is a small pool for children and a small, heated, sea water indoor pool also. The beach has a concessionary sun bed area for which a local charge is made.
There are 2 restaurants to choose from at the Delfim: the Atlantic Gardens serves a buffet style breakfast and also a buffet style dinner (no casual dress) for those clients who have booked half board. The Tucano Bistro is open for lunch and dinner, serving an à la carte menu. Snacks are also available during the day.  Half board dinner in the Atlantic Gardens Restaurant can be transferred by arrangement to lunch or dinner in the Tucano Bistro. Vegetarian and diabetic diets can be catered for on request and early suppers for children can be arranged. High chairs for children are provided in the restaurants.
The Sunset and Tucano bars are open all year round with the Blue Lagoon pool bar, located in the middle of the outdoor, seawater swimming pool open during the summer months.
Entertainment at the Delfim is varied. The nightly live music and show with dancing takes place in the Tucano Bar whilst the Sunset Bar has a live piano music night every week. Complimentary activities include volley ball, water gymnastics, French petanque,  Portuguese lessons and painting. Depending on the time of the year, there are cookery demonstrations or walks on the cliffs. A local charge is made for using the Games Room facilities where there is table tennis, giant floor chess, a snooker table, video games and the golf simulator. There is an unsupervised playground for children but a courtesy bus collects and returns children twice daily from the Delphim to the “Club Pestana Kids”. The club, which is for children aged 4-12 years old is fully supervised and offers a variety of activities. It is based at the Dom Joao II Hotel nearby, open from April until October and offers optional meals.
 For those clients who like to combine some sports activities with their beach holiday there are a number of options available. Water sports facilities are provided nearby, there is a driving range, golf lessons can be arranged and 7 tennis courts, in all, (5 clay & 2 hard) are available. The Health Club and fitness Centre has body building machines, sauna, Turkish bath, Scottish shower with lateral jets, Jacuzzi, hydrotherapy, massages, shiatsu massage and a beautician.
A drive of around 15 km from the hotel will bring you to Pestana Carvoeiro Golf with the spectacular Gramacho and Pinta courses and the David Leadbetter academy. Both golf courses are available to play on the special “Unlimited Golf” programme.
The Delfim Hotel is ideal for sporting types or for those seeking a peaceful holiday in a pleasant atmosphere.
