Monte do Casal

Monte do Casal is a beautiful old 18th century Country House Hotel situated in a protected preservation area close to the ancient hill village of Estoi, yet only 15minutes drive from the airport at Faro.  The Hotel offers a high degree of privacy with the emphasis on comfort, personal service and first class food in an atmosphere of total relaxation.  Managing Owner, Bill Hawkins launched his First Private Botanical Gardens in the Algarve project at the end of September 2006.  All visitors to the gardens are welcome but those who choose to stay at the Hotel will have the benefit of the gardens throughout their visit.

There are 18 individually designed and decorated spacious suites and bedrooms, each with their own private terrace.  Your luxury breakfast is brought each morning onto your terrace by your personal maid. 

The award winning Restaurant provides a choice of menus that will exceed expectations.  In the evening, the Degustation and A la Carte menus offer modern cuisine with House Specialities.  There is also a dedicated vegetarian menu and yet another innovative menu is presented at lunchtime.  There are 2 intimate restaurants in the Old Coach House, where in the cooler months open log fires offer a warm welcome but in the warm weather, the beautiful restaurant terrace is open for lunch and dinner.

The villa at Monte do Casal has 6 luxury bedrooms including the "Waterfall Suite".  The villa, which has spectacular views over countryside to the sea is a leisurely two minute walk through to the main hotel, restaurant and gardens.  The waterfall suite is ideal for honeymoons and romantic holidays as it has a private garden and rock pool stocked with Koi.  The villa can be hired separately if required.

Monte do Casal is surrounded by delightful gardens and features waterfalls and rock pools.  There are two heated swimming pools, two luxury hydro massage whirlpools, a golf practice green, a croquet lawn and a 1km walking and jogging track to choose from.  The Hotel also offers a full wellness range, including aromatherapy, reiki and an excellent massage menu.  There is also a sauna and a well equipped fitness room.  The choice of golf courses in the Algarve is extensive several within easy reach of Monte do Casal. 

Monte do Casal is a small luxury hotel with wide ranging facilities and amenities with an award winning restaurant.  It is conveniently close to Faro for the business traveller but is also ideally situated for those wanting a peaceful stay with tremendous food and personal service.
