 Porto Dona Maria is situated on the cliffs between the resorts of Praia da Luz and Burgau. The resort covers a large coastal area with the apartment village itself, being closest to the sea.
 A superb, large swimming pool with children's pool, surrounded by extensive sun terracing and having unrivalled views of the ocean, is a magnificent feature of the Porto Dona Maria experience. There are plenty of sun loungers and shades around the pool for the use of guests.
 The poolside "Cabana do Pescador" ( Fisherman's Hut ) serves drinks, light meals and a variety of fish dishes, both inside the cafe and on the outside terraces every day up to 7pm in the evening throughout the summer, closing at the end of September for the winter.
A small restaurant, the "Mercearia" located near reception, is open all year round from 8am to 10pm in the summer and 9am to 6pm in the winter. A small grocery will open in the Mercearia in August of this year.
The Restaurant L'Escargot will be open from April 2006 onwards.
 The apartments are very spacious. One of the bedrooms is usually double and the other twin bedded with one bathroom and one shower room. The kitchens are equipped with a full cooker, toaster and coffee machine, fridge freezer, microwave and dishwasher. Satellite TV ( limited channels - Sky News, CNBC, MTV, CNN & Eurosport) and a safe deposit box are provided.
 Each apartment has either a balcony or terrace with a sea view for your al-fresco dining and relaxation. Maiding is provided on weekdays except bank holidays and a laundry service is available on request - a price list is available in your apartment and your laundry will be returned in 24 hours.
A limited number of three bedroom apartments, to sleep six, are also part of the portfolio of properties. Again spacious, they are of the same specification as described but with a third bedroom which may be double or twin bedded.
 Porto Dona Maria reception is open from 8am to 10pm in the summer and 9am to 8pm in the winter. Outside of these hours, Porto Dona Maria Security is available to check you in. Reception will welcome Algarve Retreats clients and will be pleased to answer any queries you may have during your stay.
