 Restaurante O Barco in Salema

O Barco is situated in the centre of the fishing village of Salema and welcomes all, including families.  The restaurant's specialities are steaks which, along with fish and prawns, are all grilled to perfection on the BBQ outside. 

They also serve home made pizzas and for something different there are also Vietnamese specialities, along with traditional Portuguese dishes.  The starters range from a selection of salads to grilled Tiger Prawns and snails in garlic. 

There is plenty of seating outside where the proprietor has now created his own mosaic tables to provide a wonderful setting for eating outside on those warm summer nights. 

 Live music is a regular feature of Saturday nights - this has proved so popular that it is essential to book for music nights.  The restaurant can also cater for private parties and can even provide full catering services to parties in your own home.  All in all, O Barco Restaurant is family run and offers a warm and friendly welcome to all.                          Maggie & John
