Bom Dia boat & BBQ trips
- The Magic of Sailing..........
The company, Bom Dia, was established in Lagos in 1979 and has been operating successfully for 25 years. Bom Dia is known for its quality cruises, friendly service and, of course, their two traditional Portuguese sailing boats. Bom Dia organises boat trips which will take you along the beautiful coastline and into the famous caves of Ponta de Piedade. The boats are fully licensed and the multi lingual crew are proud of their friendly service. The two colourful sailing boats are a familiar sight in the Bay of Lagos and a trip on one of these boats is a must - it really is a great day out for the whole family.
On this cruise, the boat sails in the Bay of Lagos and continues along the coast past the most impressive caves and rock formations. After experiencing this beauty of nature the boat anchors in a sheltered bay and the crew will prepare and serve fresh grilled fish (meat on pre-order), salad with their secret dressing, potatoes, bread and wine. Don't forget to bring your swimming/snorkel gear because the ocean can prove irresistible just inviting you to take a dip. You can transfer to a smaller boat and visit the famous caves of “Ponta de Piedade”. When the crew have cleared everything away, the sails are raised again and it is time for you to feel the magic of sailing, relax, sip a cocktail and enjoy the sun, sea and the view.
The BBQ cruise takes 4.5 hours with start times of 10.00 hours or 14.30 hours.
Approximate cost: including lunch & visit to the caves: Adults €52.50 Children (aged 5-10 years) €25.00
On this trip you sail from Lagos to “Ponta da Piedade”, where the boat anchors. You change to a smaller boat and the crew show you the famous caves and rock formations. Don't forget your swimming or snorkel gear as there will probably be time to sunbathe or swim.
The Grotto trip takes 2 hours and leaves at 10.00, 12.00, 15.00 and 17.00 hours
Approximate cost: Adults €25
Children (aged 5-10 years) €12.50
This is an unique opportunity to experience the feel of sailing on a traditional Portuguese sailing boat and seeing some of the magnificent coastline from the ocean.
