The John Aldridge Soccer School at Estrela da Luz in the

Western Algarve

Commencing Easter 2008, the all new John Aldridge Soccer School opens for boys and girls aged 6 - 15 years to pit their skills against each other on the football field.  The course, designed by ex Liverpool and Irish legend John Aldridge, is a well balanced and structured programme with the overall emphasis on fun and enjoyment.  The course will be run at the Oceanico Resort, Estrela da Luz in Praia da Luz and is open to all.

Although John Aldridge has many other work commitments, Oceanico are delighted that he will be flying in to Portugal to be present at the Easter soccer school which runs 24-26th March.  John is one of British footballers' all-time great goal scorers with a career spanning 882 appearances and 474 goals so he certainly knows something about football!

The course covers all the basic skills, incorporating passing, dribbling, running with the ball and shooting so current skill levels are immaterial.  And, as John can tell you, any budding football star has to learn to communicate so a big part of the course concentrates on team building.  For this reason, the course needs a minimum of ten participants so, if you are interested, get your brothers and sisters to come along too!

Running across three separate days for two and a half hours per day, the programme is headed by Ron Price, an FA qualified coach, who has spent the last three years coaching in the Algarve and who has many years experience of coaching youth teams in the UK.

On the evening of the final session there will be a presentation evening where all participants are presented with photographs, certificates and polo shirts (so Mum & Dad bring your cameras).  The evening concludes with a splendid buffet supper (adults €15 pp and children €10 pp, drinks not included) and tales from the children of how the match was won or lost.

A must for all Soccer enthusiasts - come along in your team colours!

The cost for the course is €75 per child and includes accident insurance, a polo shirt, a certificate signed by John Aldridge and a group photograph.

Places are subject to availability.  Only places which are pre booked and pre paid will be honoured.  No cancellations or alterations are accepted to bookings, apart from holiday cancellations as laid out in the cancellations policy.  If the number of children is less than 10, Oceanico Resorts reserves the right to cancel the course.
