Raposeira is on the N125 between Budens and Vila do Bispo and you may have driven through the village on your way to Cape St Vincent or Sagres without realising you've passed by Marigils. Their roast meat specials are legendary and if you have never eaten here, it's well worth a visit to Restaurante Marigil.
As you know, we tend to favour the western end of the Algarve but we recently visited the eastern border town of Vila Real de Santo Antonio to attend a Portuguese Water Dog Trial and discovered a delightful old town on the banks of the Guadiana river looking across to Ayamonte in Spain on the opposite bank.
